Dress Like a Cowboy in Colorado

It can be tempting, especially when visiting somewhere as naturally gorgeous as Colorado, for tourists to try and tap into the frontier spirit by dressing like a cowboy and gawking at the local wildlife.
However, doing so is a dead giveaway of your tourist status.
As University of Northern Colorado student Jordan Yates wrote on Quora, “Anyone who dresses like a cowboy/cowgirl when it’s not rodeo season, or they aren’t actual cowboys/cowgirls, is probably a tourist. Anyone who rubbernecks at wild animals is probably a tourist. Seriously. Dozens of deer used to nap in my front yard. My town has a Facebook page for a local turkey. If anything, we’re all sick of antelope crossing the street at an extremely leisurely pace.”
