Believe it or not, chewing gum is heavily regulated in Singapore.

Due to issues with vandals using chewed gum to damage public transportation and deface public buildings, the country outlawed importing and selling gum in the 1990s.

Dental and nicotine gum are available, but only with a prescription from a doctor.

In other words, keep the juicy fruit at home.
